Ebsford Services is looking for someone to join a flexible multi skilled team delivering varied projects across the country. Our most predominant work streams are Arboriculture and vegetation management, habitat creation/mitigation, landscaping to create a biodiversity net gain and small aquatic projects. When required there will be a need to support other business units within the organisation delivering invasive weed management or aquatic restoration.

We are looking for someone with an amazing attitude who will embrace The Ebsford Group’s core values of respect, enthusiasm and flexibility. We are looking for a Lead Operative with experience of working outside, ideally with tree work and landscape experience.

It is essential that you hold a full driving license and the skills/qualifications that are desirable though not essential for the right candidate are:

CSCS card

First aid at work

Chainsaw qualifications



CPCS Excavator Red or blue card

Full driving licence with the ability to tow over 750kg (B1+E)

Relevant NVQ

Experience in remedial tree works and vegetation clearance.

Commercial landscaping experience

We are looking for someone who knows the value of hard work and is focused on achieving project and group targets. This is not a standard 9 – 5 role. We work in all weathers across the country and you will be expected to work away from home. You will be joining a small close-knit team who work well together and support each other.

This is a full-time permanent position offering many benefits including 28 days’ holiday (including Bank Holidays), a contributory pension scheme, additional holiday for longevity of service. You will be given a career development plan and quarterly reviews.

This role also has the benefit of a company vehicle, a company iPhone, Uniform and PPE, a generous training budget and support to develop your skills using our bespoke internal management system and guidance from various team members.
